That’s the heart behind our initiative: Leaders to Lead—a national training and mentorship program focused on empowering coaches, directors, and volunteers to lead with excellence, humility, and purpose. This isn’t just about X’s and O’s. It’s about spiritual leadership. It’s about creating a culture that builds character on and off the field. Whether you’re stepping into a coaching role for the first time or managing a league of hundreds, Leaders to Lead gives you the tools to lead well and lead for Christ. “Because when leaders grow, entire teams change.” We created this campaign to showcase how Upward is more than a youth sports program—it’s a movement of mentors. The short film follows real leaders across the country—coaches rallying kids on game day, directors praying over volunteers, and student-athletes stepping into leadership roles of their own. It’s fast-paced, uplifting, and rooted in the truth that leadership is discipleship in action. “You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to show up, speak life, and serve.” Each component of Leaders to Lead—from online resources to in-person training events—is designed with real ministry in mind. The curriculum blends leadership development with gospel-centered mentorship, so every drill, every team huddle, every moment becomes a discipleship opportunity. This is leadership that multiplies.
